Timeline for Business pages won't change the way people use Facebook, but it does bring the importance of content closer to the forefront, according to Melissa Addison and Ruben Sanchez. The change means brand-focused pages will get large cover photos now featured on personal profiles, among others. The two give us a summary of some changes announced by Facebook earlier this week, including changes to Timeline for Facebook Business Pages, Sponsored Stories -- as well as changes to page functions and options, tabs, postings, page layouts, and more.
Google Inside Search
Google released 40 updates to search features in February. The changes relate to sitelinks, autocomplete, UI elements, indexing, synonyms, SafeSearch and more. Amit Singhal, senior VP and Google fellow, calls the changes subtle, yet important. For example, the changes include an update to Google's Panda algorithm. This launch refreshes data in the Panda system, making it more accurate and more sensitive to recent changes on the Web," he writes. It also updates how Google deals with adult content through SafeSearch. Now, irrelevant adult content is less likely to show up for many queries.
Google Policies & Principles
Google moved forward Thurday to combine 60 of its privacy policies into one simplified document that explains a consistent tracking method across all its services. The company debuted the revised terms, although privacy advocates and top lawmakers have been critical of the decision. The company calls it "one beautifully simple and intuitive experience across Google." For those looking to secure the data around their Google accounts, visit the

Search Engine Watch
Here is a list of 78 search engine optimization resources based on their yield in terms of dollars and productivity. Dave Davies divided the tools and resources into nine sections and sorted through the options. First he broke down the list into categories: SEO, link-building, coding, conversion, convenience, social media, forums, news and blogs, and social profiles. For each, he provides a description and price. Since he is a big fan of Firefox, some tools are extensions for the browser, although many are also available in Chrome.
