• Google Adds Locations, Brands To Google Shopping Express Same-Day Service
    Google has added more cities to its Google Shopping Express service, including Chicago, Boston, and Washington, D.C. Merchants also have signed up to participate -- about 16 during the last couple of months. This includes brands like 1-800-Flowers, Barnes & Noble, Nine West, PetSmart, Vitamin Shoppe and Sports Authority, and regional merchants such as Paragon Sports in New York and Vicente Foods in Los Angeles.     Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan will give $25 million to the CDC Foundation to help fight the Ebola epidemic. USA Today reports the donation will go to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Ebola response effort in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, and in other spots in the world where Ebola is a threat. It's the first major effort by a social media company to help search for an end to the disease. Zuckerberg announced the donation on Facebook. Last month, Bill Gates announced the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation would give $50 million toward efforts.

    Britons have asked Google to remove more than 60,000 Web links from its search engine queries under the "right to be forgotten" ruling the European court ruled in May. Some 18,304 requests were made from U.K. residents, compared with 145,000 appeals across Europe by individuals wanting links removed. The European court ruled that links to irrelevant and outdated data should be removed from searches in the EU based on specific request.
