IgnitionOne opened an office in Paris, France, and appointed Florian Grouffal country director. He will oversee business development, operations and growth in the region.   • Change Coming To U.K. Piracy Laws For Search Engines
    A communications bill being considered by lawmakers in the U.K. could make copyright laws more stringent. Tim Bradshaw tells us that in a speech on Wednesday, Jeremy Hunt -- the U.K.'s Secretary of State for culture, media and sport -- plans to say "search engines, advertisers and credit card companies should take 'reasonable steps' to 'make life more difficult' for sites that openly flout copyright." Bradshaw provides background on U.K. piracy laws, government investments, and how intellectual property laws could change and affect search engines.

    In a move that demonstrates the importance of collaboration between TV and online campaigns, the CW will allow Microsoft Bing to run promotional messages in commercials featuring cast and crew members from CW programs. The promos will run in the TV's lower third screen during specific times each evening.
