If you've ever attempted to get time in front of a big name marketing director, you know they can be a bit...unavailable. If you're an agency trying to pitch one of these marketing directors then you know what I'm talking about. But what if you were a "lowly" media outlet like JCDecaux Outoor? You can imagine just how frustrating scoring a meeting can be. Well JCDecaux in Belgium had had enough of the brush off and decided to do something about it. The outdoor company posted photos of big name marketing directors from Coke, Mondelez, Brussels Airlines, …

So by now you've probably heard that Interpublic Group is merging Boston-based Mullen with London-based Lowe and Partners. Mullen CEO Alex Leikikh has been promoted to CEO of the new entity, which will be known as Mullen Lowe Group. Of the merger and how it will affect Mullen and the Boston ad community, Leikikh said: “The whole point of this thing is to grow and I think Boston should benefit significantly from that. My intent is to create jobs in Boston and continue to grow the Boston office.” He adds, “For us, it represents …

Oops. An advertising agency created a recruitment ad for a government position in Gibraltar which read: “History and precedent play an intrinsic part in this area of European affairs and considered alongside the island’s long-standing sovereignty dispute and the governance issues pertaining to an overseas territory." As is par for the course when these errors occur, Gibraltar government officials threw the agency under the bus, saying: “The agency had been told to change a number of passages which contained inaccuracies and were provided a corrected copy but they uploaded their original version in error.” …
