Barton F. Graf 9000. BFG9000. Both a mouthful. And in abbreviated form, a slight on the entire point of the agency name; to honor Gerry Graf's dad, Barton. Taking the oft-cited notion that great ideas often emanate from the shower, Providence, Rhode Island agency, Nail. decided to act on that notion by building an actual shower in their office so that, well, there might be a chance for great ideas to spring to life and make their way into new campaigns before being long forgotten post-shower. Of course the whole thing is a promotional joke, but they've done a great job with it. Stagwell Group, an investment group founded by former WPP and Microsoft exec Mark Penn has acquired a majority stake in New York-based digital agency Code and Theory. The agency's clients include Burger King, Maybelline, Dr. Pepper and Vogue. Of the acquisition, Penn said the agency’s digital focus "is something that’s going to be mission-critical for major products. It’s a high growth agency with great founders, exhibiting a great combination of creativity and engineering.” Code and Theory is said to have annual revenue of $50 million.
