Bizarre. It's really the only word I can come up with for the stunt from Pittsburgh ad agency, Brunner. Working with the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, the agency is sending its chief growth officer, Dan Wald to the dogs.

Launching with a select list of agencies including Arc Worldwide, DDB California, Epsilon-Ryan, Possible, Rockfish and TeaLab, Amazon's Trusted Creative Partner program aims to train agencies on how to better create for Amazon's ad offerings. The online retailer hopes to help agencies become a bit more creative, but more likely is doing it to reap the increased monetary benefits these ad units will surely generate once agencies become familiar with them.

Toronto-based independent healthcare digital marketing agency Klick Health appears to be winning the YouTube view count competition when it comes to agency holiday messages. The video, launched December 1, has achieved close to 600,000 views.

Former JWT San Francisco and Visa marketing executive Kevin Burke has joined Square. Burke will oversee the acquisition of merchant customers for the brand as well as Square's retail, web and event marketing.

So Cannes has Young Lions. Jonge Honden has Dutch Young Creatives. And India has Hot Young Creatives -- which I'm guessing wouldn't go over so well here in the States, given our propensity to overreact with extreme moral outrage to such things. Or, well, to most anything, for that matter.

Austin-based independent agency T3 is feeling quite cheerful this week. But the good cheer has nothing to do with the holidays. Nope. The agency was just named one of the top ten innovative ad agencies and was called a "strong performer" in The Forrester Wave: Innovation Agencies, Q4 2014 report from Forrester Research.

This ad agency "holiday card" from Boston-based Winsper pits the old against the young with a not so thinly veiled commentary on the trials and tribulations of Gen Xers working side by side with Millennials. It's the connected versus the tech illiterate. The chatty versus the subdued.

This ad agency Christmas video takes an entirely different direction from the norm. Okay -- well, maybe not completely different since it features a hipster Santa and, generally, no agency can do any form of self-promo without invoking at least a little bit of hipster.

Media-buying firm MediaVest has told publishers it will no longer accept tablet circulation as part of magazine circulation figures. Beginning next year, the agency will separately negotiate print and tablet media buys. A document sent to publishers from MediaVest in October read: "MediaVest will no longer be accepting digital edition, tablet, or third screen copies as part of paid print rate base."
