  • Kraft Brings Native Ads to Meredith's Email Newsletters
    Kraft has partnered with the Meredith Corp. to bring native advertising to Meredith's email newsletters. Kraft created six recipes for Meredith's Recipe.com daily email. Meredith sends about 450 million emails a month, which is a massive audience for Kraft to tap into. LiveIntent brought the two companies together for this partnership.

    MailChimp is the favorite email marketing tool among PCMag readers, when looking at overall features. The company also won the Editors' Choice award for its ease-of-use. Constant Contact came in No. 2 for overall features, though the company led in the reliability category. Benchmark was selected as the third most popular email marketing provider for overall features.

    InboxVudu joins the startup craze to help consumers manage their inboxes. This service, which launched this week, aims to help the most important emails rise to the top of a user's inbox. The Gmail client analyzes emails to determine which is a priority and puts timely emails that require a response at the top of the inbox. The service sends a roundup email with a to do list.
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Customers on the Look Out For Spam
    After health insurer Anthem revealed a major data breach this week, Blue Cross Blue Shield customers are watching out for spam messages in their inbox. The parent company reported that hackers are running a spam email campaign after stealing the personal information of millions of customers. Data stolen in the attack includes: social security numbers, email addresses, birth dates and employment information.
  • Inuit Issues Warning To TurboTax Customers
    Inuit has issued a warning to consumers to be on the lookout for spam emails claiming to come from the online tax service TurboTax. The company has seen three scam emails in circulation aimed at TurboTax customers. For example, one warns about suspicious login attempts on the recipient's TurboTax account. All of the messages try to trick recipients into sharing their personal tax details.
  • Most Marketers Are Unsatisfied With Their Email Programs: Adobe
    Two-thirds of marketers report that they are less than satisfied with their email marketing efforts, according to a new report from Adobe and the Digital Marketing Association (DMA). The report revealed that about half of marketers (51 percent) have email-only visibility and can't connect customer interactions with other channels. In addition, 41 percent of marketers admit to having issues with email automation. Thirty-eight percent of email marketers reported that integration with other tools is a challenge.
  • The Majority of Consumers Have Made a Purchase Based on an Email: MarketingSherpa
    More than three quarters of U.S. consumers said admit making a purchase after being influenced by email, according to a recent report from MarketingSherpa. Half of those surveyed said that abandoned cart emails are helpful. Six percent of consumers reported always completing a purchase when an abandoned cart email arrives and 7 percent said that they convert if the email includes a discount.
  • SendGrid Debuts Mobile App
    Email delivery platform SendGrid has debuted its first mobile native app which allows marketers to check in on their activities from the palm of their hands. The tool comes just two months after the company raised $21 million in a second round of funding. SendGrid clients include: Airbnb, Pandora, Spotify, Uber, LinkedIn and FourSquare. The company helps these companies track email opens, clicks, unsubscribes and bounces among other things.
  • Commerce Department Seeks Email Management Solution
    The Commerce Department Office of the Inspector General is seeking an email management solution as part of a move to make its email compliant with White House rules on digital records. The agency has until December 2016 to create a system for archiving its email records. The IG's office is already in the process of migrating its email system to the cloud and will be done by September 2015.
