Los Angeles has sued Uber Technologies Inc. for its alleged failure to notify 600,000 U.S. drivers about its 2016 hacking breach. Uber violated the Unfair Competition Law, says City Attorney Mike Fleur. 

Yahoo Mail has introduced a function that will auto-recognize incoming promotional coupons and allow consumers to ‘clip’ them. The service can determine deals and promo codes and put the information in a summary at the top of the email. It can also detect killer promo codes. 

Google has added multi-account support for third-party email service providers on iOS. Like Android users before them, those with Gmail accounts on iOS will now be able to access emails from Apple’s iCloud, Microsoft’s Outlook, Hotmail and Office365 accounts, and Yahoo Mail. Google will also add support for IMAP email protocol accounts.

David Karp announced his resignation as CEO of Tumblr in Gmail, not Yahoo, the email service of Tumblr’s parent company. “While Tumblr’s staff may just be disloyal to their parent company, this probably reflects more poorly on the quality of Yahoo Mail than it does anything else,” Monica Chin writes on Mashable.
