    A new study from mobile security software firm Good Technology has found that 50% of American respondents admit to routinely sending work email while in bed. 57% compulsively check email while on family outings.

    In June 2012, Google began warning some Gmail users that malicious state-sponsored activity could result in compromised email accounts. This week the attacks continued and Google has alerted tens of thousands of users. Cybersecurity experts suspect that the attacks are coming from a number of countries in the Middle East.

    New mobile market share data from ComScore reveals that Google's Android and Apple's iOS have both gained share over the three months ending in August 2012, while RIM and Windows have slid further. Android leads the market at 52.6%, up from 50.9%. Apple's iOS follows at 34.3%, up from 31.9%.

    New Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer has just given birth to a baby boy. Blogger Jeff Jarvis reports to have received a group email from Mayer, asking for crowdsourced suggestions for a name for the baby. "How digital can you get?" exclaimed Jarvis on Twitter. 
  • Return Path Partners with Symantec to Fight Phishing
    Return Path will now incorporate Symantec's Trusted Domain List data feed into its anti-phishing tool, used by marketers to prevent phishing attacks against their brands. The integration reduces Return Path's false positive rates, allowing marketers to respond more quickly to phishing attacks.
