Former NYC Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly has denied having any knowledge that his NYPD emails were deleted despite the legal requirement that the messages be archived. "I had no role whatsoever in how any NYPD personnel handled my email, its retention or deletion, while I was in the department or subsequent to my departure," Kelly told New York Daily News.

Former New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly's emails were deleted off of his official computer were unintentionally according to lawyers representing NYPD in a federal class-action lawsuit. The city's legal department denied any wrongdoing and explained that the emails were lost when NYPD staffers replaced Kelly's computer.

Email can increase stress levels, according to a new report from psychologists at Future Work Centre. The report suggests that people set email boundaries so as not to be ruled by email. "You may want to consider launching your email application when you want to use email, and closing it down for periods when you don't wish to be interrupted by incoming emails. In other words, use email when you intend to, not just because it's always running in the background."
