Email marketing services firm BlueHornet is integrating PowerInbox's DynamicMail into its platform in order to help marketers increase contextual marketing. The integration will help marketers serve up more dynamic and personalized content which is updated when an email is opened. The tool allows marketers to add tickers, forms, video, scrolling images, animation, social media, weather, timers and the like to populate emails.

Email services firm Bluecore has partnered with UGC collection and management platform Olapic to allow marketers to use consumer's photos in marketing emails. The partnership will allow marketers to add consumer photos that have been matched to specific product SKUs into email triggers in the same way they would cart abandonment or back in stock emails.

An Arizona middle school student has allegedly hacked into his school's email system and used a teacher's email address to send inappropriate messages to other students. According to Fox News, the student obtained the teacher's login credentials to break into the system. The school is currently investigating the incident.

Australian telecommunications firm iiNet has reported an interruption of service that is locking several clients out of their voice and email accounts. In addition, these customers are having issues getting in touch with the companies' contact centers. The provider said that it is looking into the issues to investigate the cause of the outages.

Australian telecom Telstra has revamped its email system Telstra Mail for home broadband customers currently using BigPond or Telstra.com mail services. The new service includes 10GB of mailbox storage and advanced spam filtering and security features. The email platform is available on Windows, Mac, and mobile devices.

San Francisco-based startup Emmerge wants to make email more collaborative. The inbox includes collaboration features designed to help employees use their inboxes more strategically. Rather than replace email, the software embraces it as the jumping off point for social collaboration with other professionals.

William Miller, a governor of the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in the UK, claims that the national healthcare's email system does not work accurately and has led to psychiatric patients missing appointments. He claims patients Virgin Media or NTL World email addresses are not receiving their messages and in turn are not showing up with important appointments. The NHS says that they are aware of an email issue and are working to correct it.

Republican watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a request in federal court seeking permission to interview Hillary Clinton in its Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the State Department. The group hopes to interview the Democratic presidential candidate about searches for emails related to the Benghazi attack and how her office handled the matter.

A New York boutique owner is suing her e-mail provider for $1 million, claiming that their service has been making her high end clients think that she isn't giving them the service they expect. Alison Brettschneider, whose clients include A-list celebrities, has been using the NY email company Digital Data Factory for a decade. Recently she has had some confrontations with the owner about billing costs and since then claims her access has been cut off and that she hasn't been able to reach her clients.
