A number of Pokemon GO players have reported online that their account has been permanently banned, according to an email they received. Redditors have identified that the recipients of these emails have all filled out a ban appeal form. However, many players that have received this email report having been able to get back into their accounts.

A Republican for state Senate in Connecticut has requested the email list from the incumbent Democrat but the state Democratic Party refuses to hand it over. Republican Len Suzio's team requested the list from Senator Dante Bartolomeo's team back in June but hasn't seen it yet. Suzio's team argues that the list is fair game since it was compiled while Bartolomeo was working as a state lawmaker and that it belongs to the legislature, as a public database.

The FBI has turned over documents related to the Hillary Clinton private email investigation over to the The House Government Oversight and Reform Committee. Clinton did not comment on the news. The documents reference the FBI's year long investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server when serving as Secretary of State.

Julian Assange thinks that the United States government has a double standard: if they think that he is a threat to national security, then they should consider Hillary Clinton as one too. In an interview with Morning Edition's David Greene, the WikiLeaks founder said that the Justice Department's decision not to prosecute Clinton a double standard and suggested that she should have been prosecuted under the Espionage Act of 1917.

After reports surfaced that a hacker called "The Shadow Brokers" had dumped a cache of NSA hacking tools, security researchers have been discussing the validity of the report on Twitter. One researcher connected the dump to an email address which could prove as an interesting lead to law enforcement. However, the email provider for the service used said that they could not provide any more data than the encrypted mailbox, which might not lead investigators anywhere.

The State Department would like to review the FBI's notes and materials from its probe of Hillary Clinton's email server before these documents are approved to move on to Congress. House Republicans are pushing the FBI to release their interviews with the Democratic presidential nominee. While FBI Director James Comey criticized Clinton's adoption of a private email server for work-related emails while at the State Department, the agency found no evidence of wrongdoing.

WikiLeaks has released a new batch of emails that are loaded with malware. The emails were exchanges between Turkey's ruling political party the AKP. The drop includes 80 different malware variants. Most of the malware came from spam and phishing emails which were in the release. WikiLeaks claims that the emails reveal corruption within the Turkish government, but reports say the dump is mostly mailing lists and spam.

While campaigning for his wife to be president, he said that despite her mistake it is not "a cause for distrust." He did admit that she should have been more discreet since she had been planning to run for president, but pointed out that her mistakes were common among politicians, just less scrutinized.
