• Google's Inbox App Now Supports Trello & GitHub
    Google has updated its Inbox email app and integrated third party apps including project management service Trello and code repository GitHub. Users that get emails related to projects that use these services will format the messages appropriately. For instance, Trello users will see a bulleted summary of recent activity on a project card and GitHub users will see code changes and filed issues.

    Canada Post has issued a warning about a new spam email in circulation that appears to come from their office. The email claims that the recipient has a package coming and instructs the person to click on a link to track the shipping status. The link contains malware and should be avoided.

    A group of Nigerian spammers were able to bring in as much as $3 million a year by tricking consumers with spam email, that is until one of them accidentally infected his computer with malware. SecureWorks security experts Joe Stewart and James Bettke identified the group's "wire-wire" technique after they discovering a keylogger that was sending unsecured data to an open web server.
  • Norwegian Tourist Arrested in Maine Over Email Threats to Police
    A Norwegian tourist has been arrested for sending emails that threatened the lives of Portland, Maine police officers. Twenty-eight year old Espen Brungodt admitted that he was behind the violent threats that were sent to local newspapers. He was arrested at a Residence Inn, where he was staying with his parents.

    Zeta Interactive has acquired Acxiom Impact for $50 million. The acquisition brings Acxiom's marketing automation tools for enterprise marketers into Zeta's massive big data and analytics offering. Zeta recently also acquired the CRM division of eBay Enterprise.

    Hundreds of U.S. consumers have been complaining on social media about an email scam that appears to come from Walmart.com. The emails tell the recipient that someone is trying to steal their password and instruct them to change their password. The emails were not sent from the company and appear to be a kind of phishing scam.
