Sources say that Marissa Mayer, former CEO of Yahoo, was threatened with a subpoena before agreeing to testify before the Senate Commerce Committee on Yahoo’s data breaches, The Hill reports. Her position is that the testimony is voluntary. 

Over several years, hackers backed by the Russian government tried to break into the inboxes of nearly 5,000 Gmail users, The Associated Press reports.
