For the first time, the company has sent out an email promoting a Foo Fighters concert to fans that listen to the group on the music streaming services. "You are receiving this exclusive email offer because you are one of the Foo Fighters top listeners on Spotify," reads the email.

    A former Tesla engineer has been arrested for allegedly hacking into his former boss's email account and stealing employee evaluations. Nima Kalbasi is also accused of obtaining a report about a customer complaint and then posting it online. Kalbasi, a Canadian citizen, was arrested this week when he entered the U.S. He was charged with two counts of felony computer intrusion.

    Edward Snowden has called Hillary Clinton ridiculous for thinking that using a personal email server while serving as secretary of state was more secure. In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Snowden also said that Clinton should have known better. "Anyone who has the clearances that the secretary of state has, or the director of any top-level agency has, knows how classified information should be handled," he said.

    Google has rolled out native ads in Gmail. The product, which was previously available in beta, allows advertisers to buy ads directly from AdWords that sit at the top of the inbox, looking like regular email. These native ads are collapsed by default but expand to full-page native ads when clicked on.

"When writing romantic emails, senders consciously or subconsciously added more positive content to their messages, perhaps to compensate for the medium's inability to convey vocal tone," explained the researchers in the report.
