Welcome to the New Year and to a new world of challenges in 2006. To help you start the year right, I thought it would be appropriate to call out a few of the avoidable mistakes I saw in 2005 and the impact of each.

Often I receive e-mails forwarded from some panicked relative warning about a new computer virus that is being distributed via an e-mail message. In the past, all of these types of warnings have been hoaxes--but no more.

It's easy ignore the downward trend in your e-mail open rates because it seems to be happening to everyone, but it's still dangerous to be complacent. Here are a few things to test to improve your open rates.
