Superbowl XXXVII may have disappointed some in the ad department, but there were a few spots that were noteworthy. Also, the biggest day of the year in advertising may have come and gone, but new campaigns and websites keep on launching. Jack in the Box is set to launch the latest extension of its “Eat Cheap with Jack” campaign, Forbes is gloating that it is “the 1 to buy,” and Agency.com has redesigned the Gilette website. Over the weekend General Electric Co. launched “Imagination at work,” Dr. Pepper debuted new commercials in its “Be You” campaign featuring LL Cool J paying tribute to the late Jam Master Jay, and Daimler Chrysler is hoping Celine Dion can convince more people to “drive & love” one of its Chrystler brands. Frito Lay and Gatorade both kicked off the New Year with campaigns that aired during College Bowl Games, Reebok will feature Homer Simpson in the February debut of ads in support of the retail launch of supercourts, and Nissan Xterra has designed a new website that attempts to drive people offline and outdoors.
