• Confidence, Concern and Distrust Headline Individual Investors Attitudes
    75% of U.S. individual investors are concerned about their investment portfolios, even as 74% remain confident about the U.S. economy, according to survey results published (9/25) by Standard & Poor's and BusinessWeek. With 78% of investors having less trust in analysts' stock recommendations based on recent events, 44% say that they have changed their investment strategies as a result of recent events such as restated corporate earnings and stock manipulation.
  • Broadband Users Believe in Net
    According to the Yahoo!/ACNielsen Internet Confidence Index, overall US consumer confidence in the internet remained flat in Q3 2002 at 113 from the previous quarter. The two companies note that in Q3 2002, broadband consumers’ level of confidence in the internet stood at 156 -- 28 points higher than that of their narrowband counterparts.
  • Hispanic Pulse in the Top Ten Markets
    A preliminary release from RDD of a new survey of top Hispanic markets shows that respondents tend to be very brand conscious and brand loyal, stick with a brand they know and trust even at a higher price, and are swayed most by brand name, quality, and good customer service.
  • Reach for Internet Services and Travel
    Yahoo, Yahoo!, with cumulatively the largest reach this week in the Internet Services site measurements from Nielsen//NetRatings, while MapQuest and Expedia significantly preempted Orbitz and Travelocity in the travel category. And, women and the over 35's have it demographically in travel.
