  • Rockport - Modernista!
    The Rockport Company has hired Boston-based Modernista! as its agency of record. Modernista! will develop Rockport's new brand initiative and advertising campaign for the coming year. New work is expected to break in the fall of 2005. Omnicom's Arnell Group previously handled the account, valued between $5 and $7 million.
  • Cingular Wireless - Mediaedge:cia and OMD
    Mediaedge:cia and OMD will divide various media buying and planning work on the estimated $925 million Cingular Wireless account. Broadcast duties will be handled by Mediaedge:cia, and OMD will run the print work and radio buying.
  • Ameriquest Mortgage - Tribal DDB
    Ameriquest Mortgage has split with its interactive agency, Tribal DDB, Los Angeles.
  • Crossbow Group - BusinessWeek
    Crossbow Group has been retained by BusinessWeek to build on project-based efforts to accelerate growth in the subscription base for its digital edition. Spending was not revealed.
  • Source Marketing - Staples
    Source Marketing has been retained as agency of record for Staples' 2005 Grand Opening In-Store Event Program. The agency will plan an initial set of 12 store-opening events.
  • Spunlogic - Union Diamond
    Union Diamond, a diamond and jewelry Web site, tapped Spunlogic to be its interactive agency of record. Spunlogic will work with Union Diamond on e-mail marketing, search engine marketing, and online advertising campaigns. Spending was not revealed.
  • Schlotzsky's - The Ward Group
    Schlotzsky's has tapped The Ward Group of Dallas as both its creative and media-buying partner to launch Schlotzsky's first 2005 national promotion. Initial advertising work includes both television and radio. Schlotzsky's met with roughly 10 firms before deciding on The Ward Group. Spending was not released.
  • Atmosphere BBDO - E*TRADE FINANCIAL
    E*TRADE FINANCIAL Corporation has named Atmosphere BBDO its online creative agency-of-record for 2005. The decision extends the relationship between E*TRADE FINANCIAL and Atmosphere BBDO that began during the fourth quarter 2004 when Atmosphere BBDO and BBDO New York were awarded an integrated assignment. New work is expected to debut later this quarter.
