    Nutritional supplement maker Nutraceutical has appointed Smith Brothers as agency partner for several brands, including an AOR representation for Solaray which has over 900 branded products in its portfolio.  The remit includes creating new positioning for the Solaray master brand as well as creating launch-related assets for new products over the next year from each of Solaray’s new sub-brand families.   • Via Agency Wins JFK Library Foundation Creative Assignment
    Portland, ME-based The Via Agency has been selected by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation as its new creative agency after a competitive pitch.  The shop’s first work will debut in spring 2020.  Via Chief Creative Officer Bobby Hershfield is leading the new account.  Via noted that the Foundation “has a history of working with top agencies to produce award-winning campaigns, like the 2019 'Words Count' campaign.” That campaign was the work of The Martin Agency.     Branded lubricants maker and automotive services company Valvoline Inc. has selected Mediabrands agency Initiative as its media agency of record for its flagship brand Valvoline and Valvoline Instant Oil Change. “After a thorough RFP process, we feel that Initiative’s strong combination of strategic thinking and analytics make them an ideal partner,” stated Valvoline CMO Heidi Matheys, Big Communications of Birmingham will remain Valvoline’s agency of record for creative strategy and execution.

    Massage and skin care chain Massage Envy has appointed Chemistry as its lead digital agency to overhaul its digital architecture. Under the assignment, the agency will develop online and in-store customer experience applications. The chain has over 1,150 locations nationwide.
  • Nobox Wins Reebok LATAM Social Media Account
    Miami-based independent agency Nobox has won Reebok’s social media account in Latin American markets. The award followed a competitive review for the business.  The scope of the assignment includes strategy, content creation, influencer strategy and management, social e-commerce and analytics. The account will be handled in the U.S. and through the agency’s regional presence in Bogota, Mexico City, Panama, and Sao Paulo.   Other Nobox clients include Netflix, Marriott, Pepsi and Playstation.

    Power tool company Chervon has named  O’Keefe Reinhard its creative agency of record following a formal review. Incumbent The Escape Pod participated in the pitch.  Now, OKRP will support new product launches and brands across Chervon’s portfolio including Skil, Skilsaw and Flex. First up, OKRP will develop TV advertising for Chervon's eco-friendly Ego brand set to launch in spring 2020.

    Chicago-based Kelly Scott Madison has been appointed U.S. agency of record for media planning and placement for Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. The U.S. is the largest source of tourists for the Caymans. The appointment, effective immediately, followed a formal review.
  • Hothouse Joins IHG Agency Roster
    InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is adding Hothouse to the hospitality group's roster of American agencies following an RFP. The Atlanta-based marketing agency will provide IHG with a wide range of marketing services, including content development, production, internal communications development and campaign execution. Hothouse’s services will be available to all of IHG’s brands, including: InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Regent Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza and numerous others.  
  • The Richards Group Wins P.F. Chang's
    P.F. Chang's is appointing The Richards Group as the Asian restaurant chain's new creative agency of record. The business previously was handled in-house. In addition to handling creative duties, the agency will be responsible for ongoing brand planning and digital strategy. Through this partnership, P.F. Chang’s aims to elevate the guest experience by showing the inspiration and connection between dishes and their Asian origin, as well as enhancing the overall dining experience.
