  • UM Adds Armor All, Rayovac
    Energizer Holdings is expanding the remit of IPG's UM to include media agency of record in the U.S. for Armor All, a line of car care products. UM was awarded Energizer’s North America media planning and buying duties in February 2019 following a review. In addition to Armor All, Energizer has also awarded media duties to UM for its battery and lights brand, Rayovac. Under this expanded remit UM will take on all strategy, planning, buying, research, and data and analytics duties for both Armor All and Rayovac.

    Toronto-based publisher Harlequin has selected Round as its agency partner for North America. The two-person agency, also based in Toronto, hires senior freelance talent for projects.   • Walrus Lands Lowes Foods
    Lowes Foods is appointing Walrus as AOR for the 100-location supermarket chain operating across the Carolinas. As Lowes Foods looks to scale its business, the chain decided to align with an agency partner to build awareness, drive consideration, and ultimately attract new households. Under the new partnership, Walrus will develop a brand campaign set to launch in Q1 2020 across the Carolinas. The work will focus on Lowes’ in-store food experiences, like its Beer Den, Pick & Prep, Sausage-Works and Chicken Kitchen.     Crop Science U.S. Marketing, part of pharmaceutical giant Bayer, has named three firms to be its Agencies of Record, including BBDO Atlanta, HLK, and OBP. The appointments came after a review that followed Crop Science’s acquisition of Monsanto last year for an estimated $63 billion. BBDO Atlanta will support the Bayer Crop Protection portfolio, including herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides for row crops and horticulture, as well as the company's new Bayer PLUS Rewards program.   • NMPi Wins Marks & Spencer Account
    NMPi has been awarded the Marks & Spencer (M&S) social and display advertising business. GroupM's Mindshare had previously handled the assignment. NMPi will be tasked with increasing brand awareness for M&S in 34 international territories, including USA, France, and Japan, focusing on expanding its online traffic to dedicated eCommerce sites and growing in-person visits at local stores.  
  • Connelly Partners Wins Atlantic Broadband
    Atlantic Broadband has appointed Connelly Partners as the cable operator's agency of record to handle creative, media, brand and digital strategy, analytics and search. The appointment follows a formal review. A subsidiary of Cogeco Communications, Atlantic Broadband provides its residential and business customers with internet, TV and phone services in 11 states along the East Coast from Maine to Florida. Connelly Partners’ first work is expected to launch late 2019.

    Brooklyn-based independent ad agency Madwell has been named agency of record for cocktail mix marketer Zing Zang.  Madwell will handle Zing Zang’s social strategy and positioning, campaign platform development, media planning and buying, social media content, digital advertising, and creative execution. The agency will also execute a website refresh for the new client.  Zing Zang’s cocktail mixes include mixes for Bloody Marys, Margaritas and Pina Coladas among others.  The agency’s work for Zing Zang will begin to roll out for this year’s holiday season.
