DDB Worldwide announced that its San Francisco office has been named marketing agency of record for STP, a fuel and oil additives brand, following a review. The agency has been tasked with creating, developing, executing and managing the STP integrated marketing communications plan that includes TV, Radio, Digital, Store Associate Programs and Race Track Activation.
Allen & Gerritsen was named agency of record for Papa Gino’s.
Heineken USA named Droga5 as the agency of record for its Amstel Light brand. The agency will handle strategic and creative development to support brand growth in the U.S. The Richards Group previously handled the account.
Ogilvy & Mather was tapped as global creative agency for Philips. DDB previously handled the work.
Unilever placed its global media account, estimated at $6 billion, in review. Incumbent agencies MindShare and PHD will defend their work.
Volvo Cars awarded its marketing business in China and the UK to Arnold Worldwide, expanding its relationship with holding company Havas. Arnold already handles Volvo Cars’ global integrated account and the business in North America. Volvo Cars’ China and UK markets were previously handled by SapientNitro, which retains the business in Australia. Additionally, Euro RSCG 4D, Arnold’s sister agency, remains lead digital agency and will share a portion of global coordination duties with Arnold. Starting in 2012, Arnold Worldwide will lead the account across all agencies from Arnold Amsterdam, supported by Arnold Boston and Arnold Shanghai.
