Interpublic's Deutsch has won the Newman’s Own creative account, the agency has confirmed. The client is a food and beverage company founded in 1982 by actor Paul Newman and writer A.E. Hotchner. It’s now owned solely by the Newman’s Own Foundation, an IRS-recognized charitable corporation, which carries on the founders’ commitment to use all the money it receives (royalties and profits) from the sale of Newman’s Own products for charitable purposes. As of May 2017 the non-profit had donated over $500 million to organizations around the world. Newman died in 2008 at age 83. Hotchner is 101.
VTech, maker of children’s learning/toy products has selected Empower for media duties that include research, digital, social media and content marketing efforts. The selection came after a formal review. The agency will service VTech and subsidiary brands LeapFrog and LeapFrogAcademy out of its Chicago offices. “It was Empower’s product-level approach to creative media that made them stand out above the rest,” stated Danielle Norwood, senior director of marketing at VTech. “Empower’s deep experience within the CPG category, data-oriented approach and ability to leverage digital and social media to connect with moms along the purchase journey made them the perfect business partner.” ...
Caesars Entertainment (CE) has selected the joint team of IBM's Bluewolf, a global consulting agency, and Salesforce to overhaul the casino destination's guest experiences following a competitive pitch. Caesars will first work with Bluewolf to aggregate legacy systems and historical customer data from multiple sources to create one unified customer profile (UCP). This platform leverages Salesforce services to connect all aspects of the guest experience, from gaming to dining, that will be optimized based on the guest's preferences and purchases. The Home Depot Canada has selected Interpublic Group’s FCB Canada to be its new lead creative agency and sibling shop UM to handle media duties, the holding company has confirmed. The selections followed a formal review process. Previously the retail giant worked with Publicis and Cossette on creative advertising and Dentsu Aegis Network’s Vizeum for media.
