• Brand Buddha Joins Tantillo Foods' Agency Roster
    Tantillo Foods is selecting Brand Buddha as an agency partner to guide the company’s media plan in 2020. The remit includes market research, brand positioning and a digital ad campaign. The family-owned company sells an array of Italian products like pasta sauces and cooking oils.   
  • Barkley Selected As Lead Agency For Fogo de Chao
    Independent agency Barkley has been awarded lead agency duties for fine-dining Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão.  The Kansas City-based agency will handle all online and offline creative for the brand, and work on design systems across all of the brand’s communication touchpoints including digital and social media, web, email, and promotions.  Founded in Southern Brazil in 1979, Fogo de Chão is now headquartered in Plano, Texas and currently has 56 locations throughout Brazil, the United States, Mexico and the Middle East.  The first work under Barkley will appear in the spring of 2020.  
  • Gut Awarded Philadelphia Cream Cheese AOR
    Miami-based indie shop Gut has been  awarded creative AOR duties for the Philadelphia cream cheese brand. The agency worked with the brand in 2019 on a project basis and launched campaigns like “Bagel that” and “Wait, is that a Cheesecake?”   “Our first experience working together this year has shown us that Gut has incredible potential to create iconic work for this iconic brand,” stated Ariel Suffern, Head of Marketing for Philadelphia.  The agency’s responsibilities include all new advertising efforts for Philadelphia including the management of the brand’s social media channels.  
  • Grey Europe Adds Carlsberg Assignment
    Carlsberg is appointing Grey Europe as lead agency for the Carlsberg Alcohol Free Beer (AFB) global communications account following a competitive review. Fold7 previously handled this business.  The first work under this new relationship will debut in early 2020.
  • Shake Shack To Work With Agency Within
    Shake Shack is expanding the fast food chain’s partnership with Agency Within to place agency employees within the brands’ internal marketing teams. The in-housing project will focus on strategic marketing partnerships within Shake Shack such as their recent launch with Grubhub. Agency Within staff will drive digital experience and marketing strategy, in addition to attending marketing meetings and managing campaigns to achieve key marketing KPIs. Agency Within will be reporting directly to Shake Shack Chief Marketing Officer Jay Livingston.

    The Boston Beer Company has selected The Martin Agency as creative and strategy agency for Twisted Tea following a competitive review. The alcohol-infused tea brand will debut its first work under the new relationship in early 2020. The now disbanded Barton F. Graf previously serviced the account.
  • Woody Creek Picks StrawberryFrog As Its New Ad Agency
    Colorado-based brewery Woody Creek has chosen StrawberryFrog as its new ad agency after a formal review. The agency is tasked with “accelerating the brand’s rise to national prominence.” The pitch was managed by Metaforce, which has been retained by the brewery to assist with strategic marketing efforts.   • Innocean Wins Taylormade Golf Media AOR
    Golf equipment maker TaylorMade Golf has selected Innocean USA as its media planning and buying AOR after a formal review.  Bob Maggiore, TaylorMade Golf Chief Marketing Officer, stated “The approach they take in generating key business and consumer insights and activating through data made them very attractive to us, and we look forward to seeing this work come to fruition.” Innocean’s first media plan for its new client will activate starting January 2020. The agency will manage existing media buys through the end of the year.
  • SRG is Picked For Blueberry Council Account
    The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council (USHBC) is appointing Sterling-Rice Group (SRG) as the blueberry industry's agency of record for the foodservice industry. SRG landed the account following a multi-agency review narrowed down to four finalists. The incumbent agency was Padilla.Under the partnership, SRG will help the blueberry industry better connect with large foodservice operators, find creative ways to grow the channel and work with chefs to develop new ways for consumers to enjoy blueberries across menus and in different formats throughout the day. 
  • Valent USA Expands Barkley Remit To AOR
    Valent USA has selected Barkley as agency of record to support the agricultural company with integrated services, including brand strategy, digital transformation, the development of creative campaigns, paid media, public relations and design. This relationship first began in March 2019 when Valent hired the Kansas City, MO-based agency to create unified branding to integrate across its product and portfolio communications.
