    The Chicago office of Draft has been awarded the direct marketing account of the Los Angeles Times. Draft will be responsible for developing direct marketing and subscriber retention programs. Spending was not disclosed.
  • BIG Interactive - Grateful Dead Productions
    After a multi-agency review, BIG Interactive has been selected by Grateful Dead Productions to redesign its official Web site. BIG's redesign will showcase exclusive, never-before-seen content from The Grateful Dead's vault of audio and video recordings, promotional material, and private items such as hand-written lyrics. The revamped dead.net will launch later this summer. Spending was not released.

    WellPoint has placed its estimated $70 million advertising account in review. DDB Worldwide presently handles the account. Agencies competing for the account include: RPA, Ogilvy & Mather, Grey Worldwide, Young & Rubicam, McCann-Erickson, and Publicis & Hal Riney.

    Permission Data, a lead generation company, has chosen Looney Advertising, as its agency of record. Looney will handle print, collateral and web design. Spending is estimated at $1 million. In addition, March Associates has also joined the agency roster. Looney Advertising will develop print, collateral and web design for them as well. The budget is estimated at $2 million.

  • The Digital Edge - Cadbury Schweppes
    The Digital Edge (TDE), Mediaedge:cia's interactive communications division, has been named digital agency of record for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages. The Digital Edge will handle all strategic digital planning, buying and execution duties for Dr Pepper, 7 Up, Sunkist, Diet Rite, Snapple, Motts and other Cadbury-Schweppes beverages. Spending was not released.
