MGM MIRAGE Advertising, Inc has hired MediaCom LA to handle its media planning and buying for Bellagio, The Mirage and Treasure Island. MGM MIRAGE is the first new business win for MediaCom LA, formerly the media department of Grey Los Angeles, which became a MediaCom company in May 2004. Billings were not disclosed.

Korg USA, the exclusive distributor of Korg musical instruments and accessories in the United States, has hired Lounge Lizard Worldwide to create online marketing materials in an effort to highlight new instrument models. Spending was not disclosed.
Simmons Bedding Company has named Leo Burnett USA as its national creative agency of record, and Starcom its media agency of record. Burnett will help Simmons with overall advertising and marketing as well as new product launches. Starcom will manage media planning and investment with Starcom MediaVest Group’s Halogen handling the direct media portion of the assignment. Spending was not disclosed.
The recreational boating industry’s Grow Boating Marketing Task Force has narrowed the number of agencies competing for its $10 million integrated marketing campaign down to four. The Lego Company has placed its estimated $30 million US media account in review. Starcom currently handles the account.
The McDonald’s Operators of Chicago and Northwest Indiana (MOCNI) have selected OMD for media planning and buying. The appointment follows a three-month-long search following incumbent Starcom’s resignation of the business last June. Billings were not revealed.
