Washington Mutual has selected Leo Burnett USA as its agency of record. The agency will be responsible for developing ad campaigns and overseeing media buying. The account is estimated at $100 million.
Northlight Advertising has been named agency of record for Unique Interiors. The agency will provide full marketing communications services. Spending was not released.
The Booyah Agency has been named Search Engine Marketing agency of record for toy manufacturer LittleTikes.com.
Mission Pharmacal has hired Moroch Partners as agency of record for its Consumer Products Division, including Citracal and Thera-Gesic. Responsibilities include brand planning, creative development, interactive services and promotional marketing services. Additionally, Moroch's subsidiary, NEXT Media, will handle media planning and buying. The account is estimated at $20 million.
The Phelps Group has added PSI, a provider of workforce testing services, and Cedarlane Natural Foods, a maker of all-natural frozen foods, as clients. The firm will handle advertising and public relations duties. Combined billings for the two accounts is $3 million.
McCann Erickson has been awarded an ad contract with the Army, valued at up to $1.35 billion. The contract includes an ad campaign for the Army and Army Reserve that includes TV, radio, print, online, and direct marketing components. Leo Burnett previously handled the work. McCann Erickson competed against Ogilvy & Mather, New York, and BBDO, Atlanta for the work.
Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners has been named agency of record for BMW Mini. The agency bested Mother and Strawberry Frog for the win. Crispin Porter & Bogusky resigned the account, estimated at $24 million, in September.
Michelin has placed its $16 million advertising account in review.
The United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF) has selected Outhouse Communication to create a global campaign to raise awareness of AIDS' impact on children. The account was awarded after a review of agencies in Switzerland, London and the United States. Billings were not disclosed.
