  • Mazda North American Operations - WPP Group
    Mazda North American Operations announced that WPP Group has officially taken over as its full-service marketing-communications partner. The new entity, "Team Mazda," is comprised of various WPP marketing agencies and will be responsible for providing strategic marketing and communications support for MNAO's U.S., Canadian and Mexican operations. Team Mazda will be headquartered in Irvine, Calif.

    Reading Is Fundamental tapped Mother New York to handle its advertising duties.
  • Carl's Jr. and Hardee's
    CKE Restaurants placed creative work on its Carl's Jr. and Hardee's brands in review. Incumbent Mendelsohn Zien will defend.
  • Benihana - Cramer-Krasselt
    Benihana, operator of Japanese theme and sushi restaurants, named Cramer-Krasselt as its creative and media agency of record. The agency's New York office will be responsible for all national and local market advertising, media buying and planning as well as digital, search and direct marketing. New work will debut this fall. Wieden + Kennedy New York previously handled the account.
  • Verizon - Lopez Negrete
    Lopez Negrete was awarded creative chores on Verizon Communication's U.S. Hispanic account, estimated at $40 million. GlobalHue previously handled the work.
