• MOXY HOTELS; BSUR Amsterdam
    Marriott International recently partnered up with Inter Hospitality Holding B.V., the Property Division of Inter IKEA Group, to create a new brand called Moxy hotels. The first hotel will be opened in Milan in early 2014. Following a review of four agencies in Europe and the USA, BSUR Amsterdam was selected to handle branding as well as help define brand voice and communication strategies.
  • Aramark; Draftfcb Chicago
    Aramark, a provider of food, facility management and uniform services, named Draftfcb Chicago as its first global advertising and marketing agency-of-record. The company previously worked with multiple agencies on a project basis. Draftfcb will focus on Aramark’s business-to-business advertising and marketing needs, including brand identity work.
  • BIZ DEV: Butler, Shine Stern & Partners Wins U.S. Bank Account
    U.S. Bank, the self-described fifth largest commercial bank in the United States, named Butler, Shine Stern & Partners as its creative agency, following a review. The agency will develop integrated marketing communications programs to support U.S. Bank’s line of banking and financial services products. New work will launch sometime in 2014. The review was managed by Blamer Partnership. The Kaplan Thaler Group previously handles the account. Based in Minneapolis, the bank operates more than 3,000 banking offices in 25 states.
  • BIZ DEV: California Pizza Kitchen Awards Neighbor Creative And Media Work
    Following a three-month review, Neighbor, Venice, was named the first-ever creative and media agency of record for California Pizza Kitchen, Playa Vista, Calif. Select Resources International, Los Angeles managed the review. Spending was not released. Neighbor will work on TV, print and digital advertising, with first work, announcing a brand-wide restaurant upgrade, to break in fall. Other Neighbor clients include Jamba Juice, CLIF Bar & Co., Tillamook and Lucerne Foods.
  • BIZ DEV: Young & Laramore Picks Up Additional Ingersoll Rand Work
    Ingersoll Rand named Indianapolis-based Young & Laramore as advertising agency for the launch of Allegion, a $2 billion security products and services spin-off. Y&L was awarded the business based on previous work it created for Schlage, an Ingersoll Rand brand. The agency will help launch Allegion globally and oversee creative advertising and global media planning and buying. Ingersoll Rand expects to complete the spin off of Allegion before the end of the year. The Allegion portfolio includes brands such as Von Duprin, Bricard, Dexter, Falcon, Fusion Hardware Group, Kryptonite and Steelcraft.
  • BIZ DEV: Pur Places Creative Account In Review
    Water filtration device Pur has placed its creative account in review. TBWA/Chiat/Day, which has handled the account since 2007, will not defend the account. MediaVest handles Pur’s media account, which remains unaffected by the review.
  • BIZ DEV: Pereira & O'Dell New York Named Lead Creative Agency For Fox Sports 1
    Fox Sports tapped Pereira & O'Dell New York as lead creative agency for Fox Sports 1, its national multi-sport channel launching August 17. The agency worked with Fox Sports’ in-house creative team during Spring/Summer 2013 on a project basis. The agency will be responsible for developing creative work against shows debuting on the network including Fox Sports Live, Crowd Goes Wild, Fox Football Daily and The Ultimate Fighter.     HEILBrice Marketing Communications added the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (LA Tourism), to its roster of clients. The agency will develop an integrated consumer marketing campaign for key domestic markets that will also be used as a global platform for marketing efforts in international visitor markets.
  • BIZ DEV: Carnival Cruises Taps PHD as Media Agency
    Carnival Cruises named PHD as its lead media agency, following a review. Havas Media previously handled the account and did not participate in the review. Carnival spent an estimated $66 million in media, per Kantar. PHD bested Initiative, Mediavest and Zenith for the win. Arnold Boston continues to handle Carnival’s creative account and was unaffected by the review.
  • The Montreal Canadiens; Twist Image
    The Montreal Canadiens have selected Twist Image to handle its mobile application development and mobile marketing strategies and tactics, following a review. The first task for the agency is to overhaul the hockey team’s current mobile application. Beyond that, Twist Image will work on the Canadiens’ mobile strategy, platform experience, product innovation, and mobile marketing partnerships. Work on the account has begun and the new mobile app is slated to launch in time for the start of the regular season.
