• Macy's, Madras Global Expand Partnership
    Macy’s has selected Madras Global to support creative automation work for Macy’s e-commerce platform, in collaboration with Macy’s existing internal teams. The selection came after a formal review. Madras was tapped to provide high-volume digital advertising and marketing services, from high-speed retouching to delivery of email and site content that will support the entire Macy’s and Macys.com portfolio.  Since 2011, portions of the creative production and retouching work for Macys.com had been handled by Madras’ sister company, 2adpro.   • Arena Media Expands Carrefour Group Relationship
    Havas Group’s Arena Media France has expanded its relationship with Carrefour Group, winning four new territories including Belgium, Spain, Italy and Romania. The agency continues to handle the Group’s communications in France and Poland. The new assignments are effective January 2019. The agency’s remit includes strategy and media consulting, media planning, media buying for all the Group’s entities. The France-based retail giant is known for its “hypermakrets,” or combination supermarket/department stores. Carrefour has operations in more than 30 countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.
  • MMGY Global Lands Destination DC AOR
    Destination DC (DDC), the official destination marketing organization for Washington, DC, is appointing MMGY Global as its new AOR following a review. The incumbent agency was MDB Communications.  MMGY's remit includes media buying and planning. DDC's in-house creative team continues to design all advertising assets that will be utilized throughout digital, print, television and out-of-home placements, complemented by paid social media and search. The current creative umbrella campaign is "DC Cool" that highlights both unheralded and well-known adventures.  The campaign's next "Discover the Real DC" phase will be used to promote spring travel beginning Jan. 1, 2019.   • Elevation Grows Virginia Green Lawn Care Account
    Virginia Green Lawn Care is assigning additional responsibilities to creative AOR Elevation following a formal review. The new remit consolidates creative, planning, media and website work under one shop to deliver a more cohesive marketing strategy, says Pam Orsi, marketing director, Virginia Green. Elevation was previously responsible for Virginia Green creative that includes the well-known “Respect the Lawn” campaign, featuring a Jack Russell terrier named “Buster." This creative concept will be continued in coming work, says an Elevation representative.  Virginia Green provides commercial and residential lawn care in the Richmond, Williamsburg, Charlottesville and Fredericksburg areas.

    BikeNWA is appointing Walrus as its first AOR as the Northwest Arkansas advocacy group seeks to raise its cycling profile. The remit includes strategy, creative, media, and PR. While this is a regional brand, Walrus is charged with launching a national campaign focused on positioning Oz Trails, 250 miles of mountain bike trails running through the Ozark Mountains, as a premier destination for cycling and outdoor enthusiasts across the country.
